7 Brides Brewing

Weddings can be expensive. Now imagine paying for seven of them. That was the challenge a group of friends in Silverton, Oregon faced. To prepare for those future costs, they decided to turn their love of home brewing into something more: a craft brewery, created with the goal of helping fund their daughters’ weddings.

Using the story of 7 Brides Brewing, Teochiu Design created a logo that captures their journey. For many fathers, giving their daughters away in marriage is one of the hardest things they'll ever do. We wanted to reflect that emotion through the use of scratch-style tally marks, with each one representing one of the seven daughters. These tallies are placed inside a shield, symbolizing the fathers’ protective role. A bold slab serif font anchors the logo, tying the elements together with strength and stability.
